Texas Instruments Incorporated is a global semiconductor company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1930 as Geophysical Service Inc., TI moved into electronics after World War II, produced early silicon transistors, and in 1958 TI engineer Jack Kilby demonstrated the first integrated circuit. Today TI is the world's largest supplier of analog chips. TI offers tens of thousands of products, including power management ICs, operational amplifiers, data converters, interface and isolation ICs, logic, motor drivers, MSP430 and C2000 microcontrollers, Sitara processors, DLP display chips and mmWave radar sensors. Its 2011 acquisition of National Semiconductor added the LM analog lines and SIMPLE SWITCHER power products. TI makes most of its chips in its own fabs.
